On Sat, Oct 9th, St. Mary's School presents their 5th Annual Fall Family Festival. Pancake breakfast is served from 9-11am, then the festival opens. There will be games, raffles, crafts, vendors, and giant inflatables at this popular local event.

Also Sat, at Hanford Mills Museum, there is a Miller's Harvest Fest & Folkways Fair. See a water powered gristmill in action; there will be waterwheel & woodworking machinery demos; kids can grind their own cornmeal to feed the chickens; there will be live traditional music, cloggers, wagon rides, farm fresh products and beer tastings. http://www.hanfordmills.org/

Thurs Oct 14 at 7pm at the Otego Elementary School Dave Ruch will present 'Traditional and Historical Songs of New York State'.

Science Saturdays return on Oct 16th, featuring "Professor Snape's Potions Class" and "Advanced Potions Class." Professor Snape's Potions class will feature open, hands-on chemistry activities at the Science Discovery Center at SUNY Oneonta from 12:30-4pm (children aged 2-13, no registration required). Advanced Potions Class features two workshops with SUNY faculty (one for age 5-9, another for 10 and up). In Advanced Potions Class, childen will watch as colors appear, disappear, and re-appear, create potions and take home their own glowing creation. Hogwarts and Hartwick Sat Oct 30th: Sorting Hat Seating at 4pm followed by feasting, music, costume contest and door prizes. For the young and the young at heart.
