Fri and Sat, Oct 15th - 16th, Country Thyme Gifts Haunted Trail and Hayride Weekend, at 247 Hawks Rd, New Berlin, NY. Haunted trail & hayrides Friday at dark. Bake sale, crafts, BBQ Sat at 3pm, trail and hayrides Sat at dark. Trail/hayride is $5 per person, under 5 free. Adults must be accompanied by a child. Call 847-6674.

Sat Oct 16th 12:30-4pm Science Saturday featuring "Professor Snape's Potions Class" and "Advanced Potions Class." Drop by the Science Discovery Center at SUNY Oneonta for Professor Snape's Potions, featuring hands-on chemistry activities for children aged 2-13 with their grownups. Additional advanced potions workshops with SUNY faculty are being offered, one at 1pm for ages 5-9 and another at 2:30pm for ages 10 and up. In Advanced Potions Class, childen will watch as colors appear, disappear, and re-appear, create potions and take home their own glowing creation. Hogwarts and Hartwick, a Harry Potter themed feast, is Sat Oct 30th: Sorting Hat Seating at 4pm followed by feasting, music, costume contest and door prizes. For the young and the young at heart. Menu: Chicken Tenders, Drumsticks, Veggies, Dinner Rolls, Pumpkin Bars with Whipped Cream, and Apple Cider or Water. Magical music provided by Hartwick College Chamber Music Ensembles.
