The Ice Cream Social is this Sunday, June 7th, 1-5pm in Wilber Park, Oneonta NY--free ice cream and family friendly entertainment, including:
Door prizes (be sure to pick up a free ticket when you arrive)
Remote control aircraft (lower level of the park)
Dance troupes, theater, music, a mime, and storytelling at the portable stage
Old time games with the Farmer's Museum
Utica Zoomobile
Paper doll making activity
Mask making art activities
Woodworking projects
Scavenger hunt
PVC pipe building play set
Make your own bubble wands
Disability awareness obstacle course
Informational tables by 17 child and family centered organizations
Park in the Middle School lot and take the shuttle to the ice cream social or follow the nature trail.
Directions: From I-88 Exit 15, follow the sign toward Oneonta. Continue on Maple Street. Turn right at Center Street. Turn left at East Street. Go 0.6 miles and turn Right at the stop light. Turn right again to enter the Middle School parking lot.
In the event of severe weather, the ice cream social will be held in SUNY Oneonta's Hunt Union Ballroom.
The Ice Cream Social is being presented by Oneonta World of Learning (OWL), a children's museum coming soon to Oneonta, NY, with generous sponsorship by community businesses and The Daily Star.
